NOMAD GREEN BELT MOVEMENT PLANT ED TREES OF PEACE IN THE 4TH COMMEMORATION OF PROF. WANGARI MAATHAI

At Mandera county, Nomad Green Belt Movement today marked: honoured and celebrated the late Nobel Peace Price Laureate Prof. Wangari as human rights activist, environmentalist and first African woman to receive Nobel prize, that the team through great speeches makes the participants remembered her lifetime legacy she left behind.

Nomad Green Belt Movement founder Abdikalif Adan spearheaded the volunteer and the participants to plant Trees for peace which aim to predicament the work she has done through struggling and several times puts her life in danger.

The team shares with the participants on how to prepare for upcoming El-nino rain that would affect over 2.5 million children countrywide, youth to be self-reliance by involving in Agro-forest, women empowerment in order to fight FM, girl child, say no divorce, streamline disabled and Albinism.
NGBM introduced Prof. Wangari Maathai Garden that was dedicated to her hard work, patience and encouraging women from Marginalized Northern Kenya to be the next Nobel Peace Price.

NGBM finally thanked entire participants and Mandera South Sub-County District Commissioner Mr. Otieno and his team who make the event a colourful.
