This Sunday tree planting event schedule for EL-GOLICHA town; Primary school, dispensary, mosque and homesteads.
NGBM volunteer team, will provide expertise by educating, raise awareness and energize the local community through community outreach event.

Walking the talk on transforming our deserts into a green county. Its
never too late to adopt a new strategy and methodology in improving our habitat and cosmopolitant geographical setups in the vast Mandera County change starts with me and you environmental conservation is our
personal and collective responsibility, plant a tree now and you wont be
remorseful in your life.how?
When an animal shelters beneath it, you get a reward, it also protects people from direct ultraviolet rays.
When a tree dies, it is recycled and used to make papers which successive generations will benefit intellectually.

Today, NGBM team, joined by our great friend, Environmental activist and National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) Mandera County Boss Mr. Husseinweli Mohamed, by planting trees in an area ear marked as first ever NGBM community park in Dhimu town. As a responsibility of every Kenyan to stand up with one heart to change our environment.
As a volunteer, we come to know that beautifying our town and environmental awareness debates has served the purpose by bringing forth some ease in achieving the NGBM plan and agenda.
NGBM team, introduce 3rd week of every month from April 2015, to create town beautification as part of our noble idea and step of making Mandera County "Go Green Hub", as green symbolizes great happy, comfortable life.
Carbon-di-oxide is gradually growing on in our space its main cause is that we are losing our forest and trees.
In future, let's provide Dhimu town visitors a pleasant experience when they pay a visit.

NGBM OUTREACH AT AL-UWEIS PRIMARY SCHOOL
As young as our movement is we managed to revive the 4K club in one of our primary school. The pictures below is revived 4K club.
One of our activity today was pre- launching of long rain season tree planting of 10,000 seedling.
Friends without your support achieving this would have been a mirage, for your moral and physical support is what is making us to move a head, this is a clear indication that we can in our togetherness achieve our goal of saving our environment.

NGBM Objectives are diverse though they all entail about environment and conservancy.
I wish to share and highlight on one of our specific objectives of our project that addresses environmentally friendly priority area:
TREE NURSERY TRAINING:
Giving someone the rationale behind a task or project gives the individual more buy-in.They are more likely to carry out tasks,and care for its success when they understand the "how" and 'why' behind the "What".This is the approach we take with facing the issue of deforestation.
I wish to share and highlight on one of our specific objectives of our project that addresses environmentally friendly priority area:
TREE NURSERY TRAINING:
Giving someone the rationale behind a task or project gives the individual more buy-in.They are more likely to carry out tasks,and care for its success when they understand the "how" and 'why' behind the "What".This is the approach we take with facing the issue of deforestation.
The first step in this approach is to educate the communities living in
rural village/centres on the implications of removing trees.Once they
have an understanding of why trees are important,they need a solution to
repairing the damage already done.
REPLANTING TREES
We teach school children to prepare seedbeds,collect seeds from indigenious trees,plant,water and protect the seedlings.We have found that they truly care for the plants more than if we were to give them seedlings and tell them to plant it,or if we plant them ourselves.
We will continue this approach in different areas whenever possible to do our part to help to counteract deforestation in our county.
NGBM's volunteer work is meant to ensure sustainable livelihoods for youths,communities,the environment and for coming generations.
We have to plant trees.
Green symbolizes life.

Morning honourable volunteer members,
Your contribution in any form (excluding monetary) is highly appreciated. My special request goes to anybody who is ready to walk this talk with us within Mandera East and Lafey constituency as the initiative is already on going and its impact felt within Mandera County, "Green Hub".
The program might seem to be Herculean but the fact is that, it's merits can not be gain said and it's immeasurable in the long term, each and everyone among us counts.
We are also soon anticipating to launch it in other counties as per their partnership request. We also already done with the requisite arrangements in two (2) other counties.
More communication to be availed soon, the whole programme is on volunteering basis

We live in hope that our best laid plans will succeed.
But in those moments when they don't,we must not lose the hope that we can still prevail in spite of it.
Truth is,change is a difficult process that requires mental fortitude,mind shifts,patience and compassion for our ourselves and others.
If we fail to make the changes,we may sink into depression at worst or a pre-occupation with "the good old days" at best.
This is because we believe that our past was better than the our present.That may even be the case.However,the past is no longer an option,so why live in it?
Dear comrades;let us participate in environmental conservation and overral conservancy.
We have initiated the platform for all those who are willing to come on board and contribute to our project which addressess several environmental friendly priority areas.
NB:More details of our projects will be shared soon inshallah.
