Today being happy International world women's day. For every heart, home, every moment of greatness is incomplete without the women in our lives, as we wish to celebrate with our sisters and mothers by planting trees. We planted trees at Al-Uweis Primary School and also form a 4K Club at the school with an able Patrol who is skillful on this topic. Moreover, we have also launched, journals for students at the same venue for the participating schools.

REVIVING OF 4K CLUB AT PRIMARY SCHOOL LEVEL

As members what do you think, how importance is the idea and what is the important & impact of 4K Club at school and at community level?
After implementing 4K club, what about its sustainability?
 
School club is a voluntary group comprising of students teachers(club patrons) that promotes participation of students in working towards conservation and sustainability of environment.They aim at creating awareness on the importance of respecting and appreciating our surroundings

PLANT MORE TREES!

Dear Mandera East and Lafey Sub- County Volunteering teams.
Please kindly in two weeks time we shall visit Lafey sub-county for voluntary tree planting activity.
Kindly facilitate the following:-
1. Site selection for tree planting.
NB- Subject to permanent water, proper fence- especially schools.
2. Planting hole preparation- pit size should be 3 fts wide by 3 fts deep and 5m spacing in all directions.
3. Make ready some wheel barrows of old manual.
4. Facilitate with the head of institutions and area administrators.

Volunteering Outreach at El-wak Girls

The tree planting initiative outreach, spice our volunteering day at El-wak Girls Secondary School, in order to achieve our environmental goals, sharing experience in sustainable forest management as we were working passionately to beautify our environment together in order to achieve and maintain a forest cover of at least 10% of the land area of our lovely motherland Kenya.

NURSEY A WARENESS- On 25th Feb 2015

Reality has finally dawned on me, that to progress the communities we live in, proactive measures and decisions have to be undertaken. I shall not be left behind in this bandwagon and that's why I would like to take the third steps to announce my agenda and plans that will be laid down.
First of all I would like to introduce free mobile nursery that will be available to homesteads 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This will bridge the ignorance and distance that our people have to walk kilometers away just to get this services.
Free seedlings shall be provided to be sowed in our fertile lands, any logistical and forest advice shall be provided free of charge. Moreover, subject to discussions by resident of entire Mandera County, organizations and institutions, horticulture programs shall be provided which are favorable with the County's soil and weather condition.
Seedling in bulk can be ordered even up to 30,000 seeds, all that is required is placing an order 3 weeks prior to the time is required and fresh seedlings will be delivered to your doorstep.
